Please enjoy taking a look.
I have stepped away from my career as a lawyer to follow my dream of becoming a full-time artist.
I am hoping that, through my art, I can make a contribution to the world. Bring some happiness to others in a manner which damages the planet in the smallest way possible. For me, the best bits of life are when I can change someone’s day for the better.
It seems a big ask for a little artist, but, if someone buys one of my paintings or a card or a gift and it brings a smile to their face or if reading my waffle elicits a titter, I will be delighted.
I have been lucky enough to travel widely and live abroad, so while I am based in Dorset now, my store is more international than you might expect. It contains drawings and designs I have created of the UK, the Netherlands, Singapore, Germany, Austria, Italy and Hong Kong.
Where possible, my suppliers are small businesses which reflect my values: high quality, as geographically close to me (or you, if you are outside the UK) as possible and with strong environmental policies and beliefs.

Watercolour, pen & ink and acrylic prints and originals available to buy
This is an example of one of my most recent paintings. Please check out my store to find prints of my work or contact me to commission an original.

Buildings
Read moreDrawing buildings is my main passion. Counting every brick and stone, totting up the number of window panes and slates on the roof. When possible, I form every detail. Every town, village and city contains a house worth drawing. I have so many I want to paint.

Landscapes
Read moreI have to spend time outside every day or I start crawling up the walls. Usually, I am in the countryside, but I am just as happy marching around a city. Spending so much of my life overseas has given me an appreciation of new vistas as well as old ones. The weather and seasons result in a different landscape every day. And, luckily, given where I live now, I like a moody sky. While out and about, I notice the shapes of trees in particular. I have so many photos of mighty specimens silhouetted against the sky, especially during autumn as the colours change. Flowers also catch my eye, mostly due to the amount of time I have spent in the city parks of Europe and Asia with impressive and diverse flower beds.

Animals
Read moreI started my art career at the age of five drawing horses obsessively. Forty five years and a stubborn equine allergy later, I still get excited when I have the opportunity to paint someone's horse. During my teens, I branched out into drawing the family's dogs and during lock-down I became obsessed with painting Dorset fauna.

Lettering
Read moreIf I had been born 200 years ago, I would have been a sign painter. I really enjoy spacing out, designing and detailing letters. While I am usually doing this for a birthday or thank you card, I am getting the chance to do some lettering for the sheer joy of it.

People
Read moreI am in love with the human form and ballerinas have always been a large part of my doodling repertoire during meetings. Recently, I have had time to indulge my interest in painting dancers and others.
-
Vegetables
Read moreA slightly strange category for an artist's website, but I cannot stop myself from including it. Having grown up unable to understand how older members of my family could get remotely excited about growing beans or building ever more elaborate structures to keep rabbits away from their carrot crop, I now lust after home-grown veg and all its wonky wonder. And, before eating it, I have to paint it....

Gifts
