Working alone

Working alone

Being on my own most of the time is the part of this new enterprise which frightens me the most.  At least social media enables me to maintain a connection with the outside world and I am hoping that customers will contact me for a chat about potential orders and commissions and that there will be opportunities to hold exhibitions and/or be part of art fairs.

I say that I don’t usually leave works unfinished, but, in my office/studio, there is a massive half-finished painting of a flower bed in Hyde Park which will take so much work to get to a point where I don’t hate it, that I cannot quite bring myself to start again. As I stare at it, I am reminded that it needs one last push to get it done.
